Lockstraps LLC was forged in 2009, shortly after the president of the company, Jeff Cranny, had the misfortune of having valuables stolen from his truck. It was then that he realized the importance of being able to secure his truck bed cargo from potential thieves. It prompted him to find something he could depend on to secure his valuables, primarily his motorcycles, and stop thieves dead in their tracks. Jeff’s idea was to produce a heavy duty, meaty-looking, locking, best-tie-down-strap-ever-created! And now his vision is on the market and is putting a stop to potential thieves, while putting smiles on the faces of Lockstraps customers.
Jeff sketched a rough image of the strap he envisioned, created a simple prototype, and sought out the opinions and advice of friends and family. Jeff immediately moved forward with drawings and sketches of what the strap should look like and the functionality of the product.
